Flapjacks are a fruity and chewy snack that’s packed full of cereal and oats.
Method
STEP 1
- Line a 20 cm square cake pan with baking parchment.
STEP 2
- Place the dried fruits in a bowl. Mix the seeds, oats, and cereal together.
STEP 3
- In a saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, and golden syrup. Turn the heat down to medium-low and stir with a spatula until the butter is melted.
STEP 4
- Turn off the heat and add the dry ingredients to the saucepan. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix until well-coated.
- STEP 5
- The mixture should be evenly distributed in the baking pan. Use the spatula for the even distribution of the mixture. Bake the mixture at 160C/140C fan/gas3 for 20 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into squares and fingers. Keep them in an airtight container for up to three days if they last that much!
